About the World Clock

The world clock shows the current time in major cities around the globe. Each city displays the exact local time, the date, the time difference from your location, and whether it is currently day or night there. Cities are sorted by their UTC offset so you can quickly scan across time zones.

To add a city, type its name in the search box above. The search uses the Intl.DateTimeFormat API built into your browser, so it works with all standard IANA time zone cities. Your selected cities are saved automatically and will be here when you return.

Working Across Time Zones

If you work with international teams, knowing the current time in your colleagues' locations is essential for scheduling meetings, setting deadlines, and general communication etiquette. The color-coded time difference badges make it easy to see at a glance who is ahead or behind you.

The day/night indicator (orange dot for daytime, gray dot for nighttime) helps you quickly determine whether it is a reasonable hour to call or message someone. Daytime is roughly defined as 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time.
